| Federal Hill West 33" x 79" Part of Baltimore Walks, a 52-piece series of wall sculptures A part of the Baltimore Walks series was exhibited in 2003 at the Rendezvous Gallery, Leesburg, VA
Federal Hill West is one of
52 sculptures based on walks in 2001 and 2002 in and around Baltimore, my hometown. As I
walked I would take photos, pick up interesting street flotsam, make sketches and use them
as inspiration to create my sculptures. The idea was to create sculptures from a year or
52 weeks of walks. Federal Hill West is based on a walk started on Federal Hill, in south
Baltimore and proceeded west into the older residential and industrial areas of Baltimore.
